This indulgent chocolate Guinness cake is rich, moist, and deeply flavorful, combining dark cocoa with the malty depth of stout. Inspired by Nigella Lawson, it delivers a soft crumb and creamy frosting that perfectly balances sweetness and texture. Ideal for celebrations or cozy desserts, it’s a showstopper that’s surprisingly easy to prepare at home.

For the Frosting

  • 300 g cream cheese
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 125 ml heavy cream

  4. In a separate bowl, mix eggs and sour cream.
  5. Combine wet mixtures gently.
  6. Fold in flour and baking soda until just combined.
  7. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 45 minutes.

  • Use high-quality cocoa for a deeper flavor.
  • The cake tastes even better the next day as flavors develop.
