Ingredients

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts or thighs

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken stock (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or parsley
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon honey or a splash of white wine

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  3. Cook chicken until golden brown (about 5–6 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, sauté garlic until fragrant.
  5. Add Dijon and wholegrain mustard, then stir well.
  6. Pour in cream and optional stock, stirring until smooth.
  7. Simmer gently until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Return chicken to the pan and coat with sauce.
  9. Cook for 8–10 minutes until chicken is fully cooked.
  10. Garnish with herbs and serve warm.
